NEW CLIENT GUIDE

What you need to know before your first visit.

Before Class

Please arrive 15 minutes early. We have some simple paperwork to complete and our front desk staff will show you around. If you have any special needs, the instructor will be available to chat before class starts.

If you are under the age of 16, please come to the studio with a parent or guardian for paperwork, and a one-on-one check in for physical activity readiness. Please note that clients under the age of 16 are not permitted in Spin classes or Hot Yoga classes.

Very First Visit

Clothes: Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that is not too loose. We have cubbies to store your belongings.

 

Bring: Indoor runners, a towel, and water. Please bring a yoga mat if you’re coming to barre, athletic recovery, or yoga. We have free mats to use and all other yoga props for your convenience. Our studio is strictly an indoor shoe facility. A good majority of our clients walk around in bare feet.

 

Avoid: Strong perfume, essential oils, cologne, and other scents. Respect the space and your fellow practitioners by keeping you mat and body clean and odor-free.

 

Eating & Drinking: Don’t eat for an hour before your class. A little water is okay, but too much liquid can make you feel uncomfortable.

 

Yoga: No shoes required. Yoga is practiced barefoot.  Please follow the above tips, as well as be mindful of your voice once in the yoga studio. Give yourself enough time to arrive early to class to settle in and rest on your mat, and enough time to complete the whole practice. Being on time and finishing the class is all part of practicing yoga.

Once You Arrive

Footwear: Outdoor shoes are not allowed beyond the front door. Please bring clean indoor shoes for fitness classes. Yoga, Pilates and barre are performed barefoot. Shoes are not allowed in the Hot Yoga room.

 

Electronic devices: Please turn off your cell phone and leave it in your bag. If you are on call, please have your phone on vibrate.

 

Communicate: Let your instructor know if you have any injuries, limitations, or concerns so they can work with you.

 

Volume: If there’s a class in session please keep the volume of your voice low to help those in class stay focused to the end.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL MEMBERSHIP IF I’M NOT SURE ABOUT GROUP FITNESS?

We offer your first week of unlimited visits to the studio for free. After than, you can continue to try us out for $75, for a one month unlimited pass. That way, you can try as many of our classes as you like, and find out what works best for you and your schedule.

I LIKE BOOKING ON THE GO.  DO YOU HAVE AN APP?

Our online booking software has an app version.  You can find it in the App Store or Google Play Store.  Search for WellnessLiving Achieve.

DO YOUR PASSES HAVE EXPIRY DATES?

Yes. All of our passes have an expiry. Once purchased, single visit passes will remain on your account for one year. All our unlimited passes will remain on your account until activated. These passes activate on the date of the first class attended, and expire after the corresponding number of months. Packs of classes have a six month expiry after your first visit. And personal training visits have a six week expiry after your first visit.

I HAVE CHILDREN. DO YOU OFFER CHILDMINDING?

We definitely offer childminding so that you can enjoy your workout worry-free knowing that your child is being looked after by one of our staff members.  Each childminder has undergone an interview and a criminal record check to ensure we have the best caregivers. Please check our schedule to see which class time slots have childminding available.

What is the cost?
$30 for a 20 pass or $2 for a drop-in

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT CAN I USE AT THE STUDIO?

When at the studio you can purchase passes, services, and other products with cash, cheque, direct debit, e-transfer, or credit card.  We do not offer debit card services at this time.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

Yes, we have a two-tiered cancellation policy.  We kindly ask that if you cannot attend class, that you cancel no later than 2 hours before class.  And for 6am classes, we ask that you cancel no later than 8pm the night before. Cancelling, even if done late, allows another client to join if they are wait-listed, so we truly appreciate your consideration for other clients.
